The Slammas

The Slammas were born in the whiskey-soaked heart of Bedford, Indiana, where grit and heartache pour as freely as the drinks. Blending post-grunge grit with dive bar swagger, they’ve built anthems that hit like last calls and go down like good bourbon. Fronted by the gravel-voiced Boone Ryder, with Jules “Slug” Carson on lead guitar, Blake “Smash” McCoy on drums, and Davey “Mac” Tyne on bass, The Slammas turn heartbreak, bad choices, and hometown pride into loud, unapologetic rock. Signed to Royal Anthem Records, their debut album Proof & Consequence is a shot glass of rebellion, regret, and redemption — best served loud.

Boone Ryder

A raspy-voiced poet of poor decisions, Boone (named after both a frontier legend and a bottle of bonded bourbon) growls heartbreak and hangovers with equal conviction. Raised on outlaw records and barrelhouse regrets, he brings a preacher’s fire and a bartender’s wisdom to every song.

Jules “Slug” Carson

The quietest guy in the band until his solo hits. Jules earned the nickname “Slug” after too many late nights and one infamous on-stage nap. His playing is all punch and glide — like a bottle breaking in slow motion.

Blake “Bones” McCoy

Bones is rhythm incarnate — if that rhythm was pounding shots at 140 BPM. Loud, loyal, and a little unhinged, Blake drives the band like a bar fight in four-four time. Known to duct tape his sticks mid-set and keep playing.

Davey “Mac” Tyne

Solid as oak, smooth as a whiskey finish. Mac holds down the low end like a rickhouse holds barrels. Occasionally offers life advice, usually unsolicited, always profound.
